Last week I was invited join the Eating London Tour of East London. I was told to arrive hungry, and for good reason. Once we had all been introduced to our ebullient guide, Nicole, we set off on a three hour walking tour through East London's multi-cultural heritage, stopping off to sample the best dishes London has to offer along the way. I wont reveal too much information because you NEED to take the tour yourself to find out, but I give you a taster of our taster and say that we met at the iconic Spitalfields Market.
St John Bread and Wine. See if you can guess the ingredient in the sauce.
Our second stop was for bread and butter pudding at The English Restaurant.
There's always time for cheese, especially if it's at Androuet.
A eating-walking tour of London wouldn't be the same without a stop off at the best independent fish and chips shop in the UK, Poppies.
Or a quick pint, at The Pride of Spitalfields.
Before heading off down Brick Lane to admire street art and sample Indian curry.
Our exploration ended at Pizza East with a rather fitting dessert.
